Questions

I recently had a discussion abouth photography-related questions with a friend, where we just sat and made lists. I thought I'd share my answers with you guys:

A. Name five bands/musicians you'd like to shoot. Existent or non-existent.

-Kraftwerk.
-David Byrne/Talking Heads
-David Bowie
-Beethoven
-The Knife

B. Which five bands would you want to shoot during a tour, at the peak of their popularity?

-The Strokes
-N.W.A
-Rage Against The Machine
-The Clash
-The Libertines

C. Name five musicians that you think are the most photogenic:

-Again, David Bowie
-Bob Dylan
-Debbie Harry from Blondie
-A fresh prince-y Will Smith
-Ian Curtis from Joy Division

D. Five bands that you'd want to direct a music video for:

-Sigur Ros
-New Order
-Slipknot
-Pink Floyd
-Radiohead

Slipknot - Vermillion

E. Five bands that you'd never want to shoot because they're ugly and obnoxious:

-Justice: That hype was uncalled for.
-Sebastien Tellier: The most obnoxious character on the planet.
-50 Cent: Shoot him again.
-Bono from U2: The worlds biggest turd.
-The Jonas Brothers: Please tell me I never have to meet them.

Now you know a bit more about me, I guess. I realise that nobody probably cares, but I love making lists too much, not to write something like this.

Giving thanks

I feel that it's important to appreciate the suttle things in life. While sitting on one of the disgusting, nasty and absolutely vial planes of Ryanair today, I realised that I am thankful for a number of things in life. For instance, I am thankful for:

-Google Inc.
-The fact that I'm not Danish.
-The fact that the guy who thought it'd be a good idea to put pickles and onions on hamburgers, is probably dead.
-The movie Kung Fu Panda.
-The fact that I don't know the difference between maroon and burgundy, since that would mean I care about things that don't matter.
-Elmo.
-Partially getting over my jinxing-phobia.
-Elmo.
-Not being one of the idiots in Sweden that say "Negerboll".
-My friends and family.

Just figured I'd let you know.

p.s My cabin baggage was 150 grams under the allowed weight. Thank you, and go fuck yourselves Ryanair.

This is what you get when you mess with us.

There have always been two bands that I never thought I'd latch onto. One of them is The Velvet Underground, not so much because of the band itself, but because people who like them tend to be fucking annoying. Hence, I met their fan-base before I was even introduced to their music, which ended up tainting the music when I first heard it. I still don't like The Velvet Underground. Screw all the hippies that do. You ruined it for me.

The second band is Radiohead. Somewhere around September last year, my roommate Brendan, with whom I shared a lot of musical preferences, asked me if I liked Radiohead. I told him no, since people who listen to Radiohead often remind me of people who listen to The Velvet Underground, i.e dickwads. He then told me that he's a huge fan of Radiohead, and since I know he's not a dickwad, nor a hippie, I asked him to give me a few albums. I then realized that I already had "Amnesiac" on my ipod and therefore saw it fit to begin there. I didn't like it. I then told Brendan that me not liking Radiohead was probably pretty accurate after all, to which he responded:

"Which album did you start with?"
"Amnesiac."
"There's the problem. You have to start with OK Computer, then move up to Kid A, and then just work your way from there."

It all kind of seemed like too much of a hassle over ugly brits that sing with their eyes closed, but I obeyed and tuned into OK Computer. Not only do I like Radiohead now, I'd feel pretty confident in saying that Karma Police might grow to become one of my favorite songs ever:

Paranoid Android is not far behind:

ps When asked which album is the best to have sex to, three of my roommates said Kid A. On separate occasions.

Hong Kong preview

Here's a quick preview of pictures from Hong Kong. I'll post all of them together with the London pictures from end of March/beginning of April. Hence, you might have to wait a bit for those ones. Unfortunately, I'm not sure I'll be able to go to New York this spring. Updates to follow regarding that. Until then:

Worst day ever.

If I were to not describe this day with one song, it would be this one:

I missed my flight back to Sweden. Worst Friday in a long time.

Amateur pornstar killer

There's something that confuses me about the title of the movie displayed in the picture below. Is the killer in this movie :

A. An amateur pornstar who is also a killer
B. A killer who only murders amateur pornstars
C. Not very good at killing pornstars

If you've seen number one or two, please feel free to enlighten me.

Björk vs Alan Braxe & Fred Falke

This is a nice little song that I like. Granted, I always felt that Björk's singing kind of sounds like angry sex between a hippo and Helen Keller, but still.

Updated website

I updated my website with some Nylon-pictures and a new personal album. Most of the personal pictures were taken during the months of January and February, in London, Berlin, Sweden, Dubai etc. I had to use a couple of images that didn't make it into any albums last year. Hence:

"Är du också chalmerist?"

Here are the pictures from Linus' and Niclas' epic party. Well, it was only epic if you stayed past 01:00. If you didn't, please don't come to our party again. The next day, I bought pizza online. I have reached a whole new level of sophistication. Oh, and I thought I'd try black&white film for a change:

best pre-party ever.

Fever Ray - When I Grow Up (Dan Lissvik remix)

Even though I pretty much seem to be the only one who likes Fever Ray, you should have a listen to Dan Lissvik's remix of When I grow up:

Feed me.

Funny things I have seen on food-menu's here in Hong Kong so far:

-Chinese Feet
-Deep fried Razors
-Mullet

ps Retarded as I am, I saw Darjeeling Limited last night for the first time. Wes Anderson seems like kind of a prick, but I can't help but find his movies hilarious. I guess that says something about me. When I make my first movie, this song will definitely be included, no matter which kind of movie it ends up being:

february mayhem

As promised, here are some pictures from the month of February. Meaning Stockholm, Gothenburg, Uppsala, London etc. If the pictures don't show it, I should tell you I had a lot of fun. A lot. A personal favourite was the snowball war at 5 AM versus a group of spanish people. We totally won, by the way. Granted, we did have homefield advantage.

And on a sidenote, fuck the boycott of the tennis match between Sweden and Israel. If you like tennis, just go. People who mix sports with politics are always people who don't care about sports.
